Bump Check: 9th Month

Hello 9th month of Pregnancy! At this point, I really can’t complain. I’m in the home stretch and I feel pretty darn good!  I haven't swelled at all (yet). My back pain isn’t TOO bad and I really don’t pee that much.  Sometimes Pnut crawls up high and that makes it hard to breathe, but I can usually move around and he/she falls back down. LOL So that’s where I am today. So many wonderful things have been happening lately, we celebrated our 1st anniversary, Jake got into school and I had 2 awesome baby showers!!  And we still have so many exciting things happening the rest of this month… oh and I can’t forget to mention my favorite season is in 5 days… FALL! Eeeekkkk I’m so pumped. So that’s where I am today.  9- 17- 12 &  33 weeks pregnant, lets see what happens this month!

    Bump Check :33 Weeks
September 9 - September  16  , 2012

This week our sweet lil Pnut is weighing in around 4 pounds, and has most likely hit the 17 inch mark. He/she is rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his/her skeleton is hardening. The bones in babes skull aren't fused together, which allows them to slightly overlap during birth. They won't fuse entirely until early adulthood, so they can grow as  his/her brain and other tissues expand during infancy and childhood.

How far along: 33 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  −2 lbs +16 pounds
Maternity clothes: absolutely
Stretch marks?: No, I can’t believe it, my belly is huge!
Sleep: Ehh… Some nights it’s hard getting to sleep, but once I’m out, I’m usually out. Feeling more sleepy these days, love naps ; )
Best moment this week: Our Anniversary & My baby showers!!!
Movement: Moving around like crazy still, oh and getting stuck under my right rib cage ; )  Hiccups everyday, maybe twice a day, Jake got to feel them, finally!
Food cravings: Strawberry banana smoothies
Gender:  Jake had a dream it was a boy
What I miss: not being winded after doing basic activities
Milestones: another week down

  Bump Check :34 Weeks
September 16- September 23 , 2012

This week baby should be around 4.75 pounds, and about 18 inches long. Basically babycenter.com just says he/she is still getting bigger and working on maturing his/her lungs and her nervous system. Nothing too crazy and exciting to report.

How far along: 34 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  +3 lbs +19 pounds
Maternity clothes: leggings, leggings and more leggings
Stretch marks?: Still none, whew
Sleep: Has been really good this week!
Best moment this week: New carpet!
Movement: Lots of kicks on the right side, baby’s favorite spot to hang out. Usually VERY active around 8-10 at night, Jake and I can’t get enough of it!
Food cravings: Cheese cubes and Cheese sticks… I dunno
Gender:  I had a dream it was a girl
What I miss: Skinny Jeans
Milestones: another week down

I am now 8 in a half months pregnant! Wow. I have been starting to get some braxton hicks contractions.  Not too many, about one or two a day or not even.  I guess, you can say I’m starting to feel very pregnant! I pee a lot more, sleeping a lot more and eating a lot more.  Naps and sneaky snacks are my best friends ; ) I have also been a little more hormonal... In fact I may have started crying to Jake the other day because I was so hungry…Yikes! We will pretend that didn't happen.  I can’t believe it’s almost October the best month ever!!! I wonder if I will share my birthday month with our sweet baby?!   I still think I’m going to go late, but Jake seems to think I will go early… I guess we will see very soon!! ; )      Oh and HAPPY FALL! YAY!

  Bump Check :35 Weeks
September 23- September 30  , 2012

Today as they say on the bump, is my 35/35. That is, 35 weeks pregnant, 35 days until my due date.
Baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that he/she is most likely over 18 inches long and around 5.25 pounds. Because quarters are so tight, he/she shouldn't be doing as many somersaults, but kicks and rolls are still incredibly strong.  His/Her kidneys are fully developed now, and his/her liver can process some waste products. Most of baby’s basic physical development is now complete — he’ll/ hshe'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight. Which means so will I! :O

How far along: 35 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  +2 lbs  +21 pounds total Okay, baby can slow down now.. geeshh
Maternity clothes: I finally bought a pair of maternity jeans!! YAY!
Stretch marks?: None and keeping my fingers crossed!
Sleep: Getting a little harder, but I don’t wake up unless I need to pee.
Best moment this week: FALL IS HERE!
Movement: Baby is still having the hiccups almost everyday.  I still feel/see baby’s different body parts moving, but can’t really tell what is what (besides the butt)  I feel movement real low, which is different.
Food cravings: Umm.. no certain cravings, I just want to snack all the time!
Gender: Dunno, but we will find out in about 5 weeks!!!
What I miss: the kick from coffee
Milestones: 35/35

  Bump Check :36 Weeks
September 30- October 7 , 2012

This week baby should be hitting the six pound mark, and is most likely more than 18.5 inches long.  He/she is shedding most of the down covering of hair that covered his/her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected babys skin during their nine-month amniotic bath. Unfortunately both of those substances end up in the babys digestive system, making his/her first few poos absolutely disgusting!!

How far along: 36 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: ? I only step on a scale at the Dr.s and my appt. is on Friday : o Hopefully not more than 2 lbs
Maternity clothes: I got a couple new items, I needed some heavier clothes since it’s getting so chilly!
Stretch marks?: No, and I’m not complaining
Sleep: Actually, not bad, especially for how huge I am!
Best moment this week: Setting up the crib!
Movement: Even though baby is running out of room and can’t do summersaults anymore, he/she still kicks like crazy and wiggles around a lot!  Makes me happy
Food cravings: PB&J sandwiches
Gender: Will I have a son or daughter? ;)
What I miss: My old skinny jeans and cute sweaters ; )
Milestones: 9 Months baby! Baby dropped! (OUCH)

Whelp! I definitely got humongo this month, which means we are getting close to meeting our baby!!! Family likes to tell me I’m huge and strangers tell me I’m tiny for 9 months, so I’m going to go with average? The baby definitely dropped at the end of this week. I felt a good amount of pressure in my pelvic area and it’s still there when I get up, after sitting or laying for while. Just to keep it classy here, I  thought I would let you all know it feels like someone hit you with a baseball bat, in your crotch, yeah it hurts. Also, my braxton hicks contractions have been picking up.  All these new sensations are getting me very anxious!! Baby is going to be here before you know it!!! It’s been a great 9 Months though, I can’t complain. I still can’t believe that I will be full term in just one week!  We are so close to meeting our lil Pnut, we can’t even stand it anymore. I don’t think a day goes by that Jake and I don’t say to each other how excited we are.  Everything is pretty much ready to go. Car seat, hospital bags, birth plan, etc. Jake has been working his butt off, like a crazy man to get the house finished before the baby. He should be done by the end of this week, which is super exciting! Our house is getting cozier and cozier by the day and in about 4 weeks we will get to bring our new baby home to it!
