{Week 20}

Project 341 {Week 20}

7 Months

                          7 Months

7 months old.  Why is this more difficult for me to comprehend than 6 months. I guess it’s because you are closer to a toddler than a newborn now. Gulp.

My what a special little girl you are. Me and your father still get emotional when we watch you sleep or look back at your newborn pictures. You really are perfection. How did we get so lucky? My dear, you make our every day brighter.

This has been such an exciting month for us.  You can now sit on your own! I thought you were going to be a little weeble wobble at this point because you were still falling over at just shy of seven months, but now you have become a pro in just a sort couple of days! Bravo kid. I think you just wanted me to be able to mark this down in your 7 month post.

Rolling is still your main preference when it comes to getting to where you want to go. If you see something you want, you sure can maneuver your way there. You can roll across the room in seconds. It’s kind of scary for mommy. It looks like you might be showing a little more interest in crawling, but we aren’t there just quite yet. whew.

You started solids this month! You definitely were ready, boy do you love to eat. I don't think you have turned down a single thing yet. The only thing you didn't gobble down in seconds were avocados, but I think we will give them another try. You like lemons and pickles so you are definitely a cool kid. You have gotten really good at feeding yourself and you’re even starting to pinch at food instead of grab it with your whole hand. Your coordination has improved so much over a month. Those slippery bananas ended up on the floor instead of your mouth.  You haven't gotten to try a lot of fruit yet, but you love your veggies, lets keep it that way. You still nurse about 6 times a day but eating solids makes your poops REAL interesting now. Fun stuff for mommy. We still love our cloth diapers though!

I got to celebrate my first mothers day this month and boy did you give mommy a wonderful gift! Your first word! Yeah, so it was “da da” I already knew you were a daddy’s girl. I'm so proud of my little jabber box, you just love to talk, especially in the car. I told your daddy I hope we never forget the sounds of your baby babble coming from the back seat. It's music to our ears and makes us giddy every time. You have the sweetest voice already.

And talk about proud mommy, you signed your first word "milk" ! You have understood it for a little while now, but it's so neat that you can now do it on your own and express words before you can say them. You understand "more" and "up" but haven't signed them to me yet. You just open your mouth when I say "more" and wiggle your body when I say "up" lol it's too cute.

Your hair is getting SO long kid. Especially those bangs, I love it. I never want to cut it! It's getting lighter also, so pretty! You get compliments on it everywhere we go and your eyes as well. People love those big baby blues, which are turning greenish, just like daddy. I feel like I’m with a celebrity when I take you places, just don’t let it go to your pretty little head.

You have been sleeping GREAT. Which means in my next post you probably won’t be. You love to be rocked to sleep and patting your back or butt usually does the trick.  You also started sleeping on your belly, just like mommy.

* loves to chew on Mommys hair *
* loves when you pretend to eat her fingers *  loves 'slapping' everything. *loves to play peak-a-boo. *  giggles more about the anticipation of being tickled, then when you are actually tickling her. *  loves for you to hold her hands and help her stand and walk around. * kissing sounds *
